Producepedia is brought to you by Western Growers, an agricultural trade association whose members grow, pack and ship nearly one half of the nation's fresh fruits, vegetables and nuts. Our members grow the best medicine in the world!

For more than 80 years, Western Growers members have been dedicated to providing nutritious and delicious produce to Americans. We invite you to read our members' stories -- many are third and fourth generation farmers.

Needless to say, we love produce! And we hope you do too. This site is designed to provide you, the consumer, with important and fun information about produce. We also have links to many helpful sites.

Produce is not only an important part of our diet, but many of the commodities can assist with specific health concerns. The more you know, the more fresh fruits and vegetables you'll want to eat and that's a good thing.
